About this painting
what I like about doodles is its unpredictable. By placing the pen on paper, just let the mind wander and watch it evolve.
I do my artwork in two ways.
First is just randomly mark the paper with felt pen then go around with fountain or ink pen and try if a can shape it into something.
Second way is to take a subject, draw in pencil first then continue and go over with fountain or ink pen and let it take shape.
This is an piece of image consists of the Coatham before the redevelopment of the seafront. The Penguins once located here with the old Redcar's seafront shelters behind.
In the distance is the steel works.
This picture also has key words hiding that are points of reference to events in Redcar and items washed up on the beach.
How many can you spot.
